PRE-K PROGRAM

(SHINING STARS ROOM)-Reflecting the idea of being lights in the world, as mentioned in Phillipians 2:15

SHINING STARS ROOM

Our Pre-K program aims to build a strong foundation for your child’s transition to kindergarten. By nurturing their creativity, critical thinking, and social skills, we ensure children develop both cognitively and emotionally, setting them up for success.

WHAT WE LEARN

Cognitive Development

Children engage in activities that stimulate critical thinking and problem-solving. Through puzzles, sorting games, and exploration-based learning, we encourage them to develop essential cognitive skills. Curiosity is further sparked through science experiments and story-driven learning sessions.

Language and Literacy

In this program, language development is a priority. Children are introduced to a variety of books and storytelling activities to strengthen their vocabulary, reading comprehension, and early writing skills. Engaging conversations help enhance their ability to communicate clearly and confidently.

Math Concepts

We introduce foundational math concepts, such as counting, shapes, and patterns, through hands-on activities. Children are encouraged to explore numbers and develop early math skills through games that focus on problem-solving and logical reasoning.

Science and Nature

Through exploration of the natural world, children develop an understanding of basic scientific concepts. Activities include observing plants, learning about weather patterns, and conducting simple experiments that encourage curiosity and a love for discovery.

Art and Music

Creative expression is at the heart of this program. Children explore their artistic abilities through painting, drawing, and craft-making. They also participate in music-based activities that foster rhythm, melody, and self-expression, allowing them to connect emotionally through the arts.

Independent play is a vital part of the childcare center's program, designed to nurture children's creativity, self-confidence, and decision-making skills. In this safe and stimulating environment, children are provided with a variety of age-appropriate toys, books, and materials that cater to their interests and developmental stages. They have the freedom to explore and engage in activities at their own pace, encouraging autonomy and self-directed learning. Staff offer gentle guidance when needed, but children lead their play, fostering cognitive, emotional, and physical development. Independent play helps children build problem-solving skills, creativity, and self-confidence, laying a strong foundation for their future educational and social experiences.
